Barry Town United deny Swansea City Women win in added time

Barry Town United denied Swansea City victory in the Genero Adran League Premier with a 93rd-minute equaliser.

Erin Murray put Barry ahead in the first half, Emily Richards and Stacey John-Davis struck in the space of 13 second-half minutes to give the Swans a 2-1 advantage. However, Ellie Gunney got Barry back on level terms at the death, to stay within two points of third-placed City.

Cardiff City held a two-point lead at the top with a 4-1 win at Cardiff Met. Fiona Barry netted twice and Eliza Collie once before India Shanahan pulled a goal back, Ffion Price then converting from the spot for the Bluebirds.

The New Saints kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 1-0 win over Wrexham, Lexi Jones on target deep in first-half stoppage time.

Connah’s Quay Nomads 3-2 Flint Town United (Att: 110)

Connah’s Quay made it four wins from four with a narrow 3-2 victory over Flint Town. Ruby Hastings opened the scoring for Flint, Polly Wild-McGregor and Ella Jones hit back just before the break. Rosie Hughes pulled the visitors back on level terms but substitute Aimee Redfern grabbed a stoppage-time winner.

Llandudno led 1-0 at the break away to Felinheli but the match was abandoned due to an injury to the referee.

Cwmbran Celtic got the only goal at Swansea University through Jade Crofts, to move level on points with leaders Pontypridd United.
