The midfielder turned full-back joined the club from Sheffield FC at the beginning of 2015 and the Belles say that she played a big part in their return to the top flight, scoring a brilliant goal against Aston Villa along the way.
And in 2016, Barker’s consistently impressive performances at full-back led her to pick up manager Emma Coates’ Player of the Season award.
26-year-old Barker was thrilled to commit her future to Doncaster, saying: “This is the place I want to be – I never wanted to be anywhere else.
“I feel I’ve improved massively this season and for the manager to tell me that I’ve been her Player of the Season, I think this is the best place for me.”
Manager Emma Coates was equally pleased to have tied Barker down to a new deal, adding: “Barks is a valuable member of the team and is highly respected by everyone at the club.
“She definitely adds a social aspect to the group! But she’s also an intelligent footballer with a range of traits that add to an all round important member of the squad – I’m delighted to have her on board.”
