Barclays Women’s Super League midweek clashes in the capital

Barclays Women’s Super League leaders Chelsea and top-three chasing Manchester City are back in action tonight after testing Sunday fixtures.

West Ham United v Manchester City (Dagenham & Redbridge FC, 7pm) – live on WSL YouTube
Chelsea v Leicester City (Kingsmeadow, 7.30pm) – live on Sky Sports

Chelsea lead the table by five points from Manchester United after rescuing a point away at the weekend, having trailed Brighton 2-1 at half time.

The Blues host a Leicester City side whose 2-0 loss at Manchester United on Sunday in tenth position and six points off the bottom.

Manchester City needed a 78th-minute Aobo Fujino goal to take all three points at Tottenham and now return to the capital to take on West Ham, following the Hammers’ seven-goal thriller at Arsenal where they let slip a 3-1 lead to go down 4-3.

City sit outside the European places by two points from the Gunners, while West Ham are ninth and eight points clear of danger.
