Baggies Bag Birmingham Cup On Pens

After a first half of few chances, Albion’s Billie Haynes forced a corner from which Coventry had to clear off the line.

Midway through the half there was also nerves at the other end, as a goalmouth scramble ensued before the ball was eventually being claimed by Rebecca Thomas

Thomas again kept the score at 0-0 on 70 minutes, being equal to an effort after a well worked Coventry move.

With no score at the end of normal time, it was straight to penalties and United’s first attempt was saved by Thomas.

Thomas became the hero with two more stops and Eleanor Clarke netted the decider to make it 3-1.
