Ayr United won a seven-goal thriller of a play-off against Glasgow Women to take their place in ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2.
Glasgow Women will now compete in the Scottish Women’s Championship next season, Ayr having won the right to a play-off as runners-up this term while their opponents finished next to bottom in SWPL 2.
Ayr twice opened up two-goal leads at Falkirk Stadium, Clare Docherty hitting a hat-trick but sent off as Glasgow Women eventually forced extra-time with a penalty in the dying seconds, which was converted by Kayleigh Barghati.

Ten-player United were back ahead after 105 minutes through Chloe Duthie and this time the SWPL 2 side could not find a way back.
