Cliftonville, Cork City, Galway United and Wexford Youths won their Avenir Sports All-Island Cup groups to progress to the semi-finals.
Galway United topped Group A with a 2-0 victory over Shelbourne, Gemma McGuinness sealing the points in stoppage time, following Abbie Callanan’s opener. Athlone Town were 2-1 winners at Linfield with Roisin Molloy’s decider to take third spot.
Wexford Youths came from behind to win 2-1 at Peamount United, Aoibheann Clancy and Rianna Jarrett striking in the last 15 minutes. It proved enough to win Group B, after Glentoran lost 3-2 at home to Shamrock Rovers for whom Shannon Coady netted her first two senior goals.
Cliftonville pipped Sion Swifts by one point in Group C despite being held at home by Sligo Rovers, as Danielle Maxwell’s effort was immediately cancelled out by Emma Doherty. Swifts got the only goal against Bohemians through Caoirse Doherty.
