Aston Villa Sign Alys Hinchcliffe

Villa say Hinchcliffe is no stranger to those of a claret and blue persuasion, having featured for Yeovil Town in 2015.

And head coach Hunt is thrilled to have the former Wales U-19 international on board.

He said: “We are really pleased with the signing of Alys, she is someone we’ve known about for a while.

“Last season when she was at Yeovil she had an exceptional game against us down there, causing us loads of problems.

“With the departure of Destiney Toussaint our attacking numbers became light and Alys can cover any of the front three positions.

“She’s quick, strong and very direct, different from the other forward players we have.

“I always want competition for places, this will put added pressure on the girls in the team because Alys isn’t coming to make up the numbers.

“She’s a very determined young lady, someone that wants to impact WSL 2.

“She has fitted in with the group well, has trained hard and is in contention for our match day squad on Sunday against London Bees.”
