Aston Villa boss expects “updates” before deadline day
Speaking ahead of Aston Villa’s trip to Everton on Sunday, Arroyo told reporters that the club will “probably have some updates”, but are not “desperate”.
She said: “We always need to wait until the last minute to see what can happen. We were quite productive at the beginning and knew what we needed.
“We will try to make the best decisions, but I’m happy so far with how calm we are in our planning. We are not just thinking of the short-term.
“If we have injuries or whatever, we are not doing things in a desperate mode. We are being smart and have a clear plan of what we’re building to be better.
“Let’s see what happens but we’ll probably have some updates before the end.”

Who have Aston Villa signed this month?
Aston Villa spent £450,000 to sign Oriane Jean-Francois from WSL champions Chelsea.
The move was a club record sale for Chelsea, after the 24-year-old had struggled for starts since joining the club from PSG.
Villa also signed Jenna Nighswonger on loan, after the USA international also struggled for game-time at Arsenal.
During her press conference, Arroyo explained how Nighswonger was bouncing back after a difficult period at Arsenal.
“It’s always tough for a player and not having a chance to show the talent and the ambitions and the dreams that you have,” Arroyo told SheKicks.net on Thursday afternoon. “It’s obvious that was a difficult moment for her.”
Meanwhile, Villa have sent Sarah Mayling on loan to Leicester City, while Katie Robinson has joined Bristol City.
When is deadline day?
Deadline day in the Women’s Super League is on Tuesday, February 3rd.
Teams will have until 7pm GMT to complete their deals, and complete their squad line-ups for the remainder of the season.
However, players who are free agents this summer can sign pre-contracts with club from now until the date their contract expires.
One player who could be on the move is Ona Batlle, with Arsenal keen to sign the Barcelona star.
Matchday 14 of the Women’s Super League comes before deadline day, with Aston Villa set to play a struggling Everton side.
Villa sit seventh in the WSL, just one point outside the top half of the table.
