Asfordby Amateurs, Desborough and Kidlington are three of the latest teams to be celebrating Women’s County League titles.

Asfordby Amateurs won the Leicestershire League Division 1 with two games to spare, following a 6-0 victory at Hinckley.

Sarah Brown scored four to take her tally to 51 from 18 games in all competitions, substitute Alex Saulter got the other two goals on the day.

Amateurs’ fourteenth straight win moved them beyond Desford, who had already completed their fixtures in the league’s top flight.

Kidlington captured the Thames Valley Counties Women’s League Division 2 title when winning their last game of the season.

They defeated Harefield United 4-0 to move out of reach of their one remaining challenger for the title – Slough Town – who were without a match.

Katie Thorp got her first goal of the campaign, Abi Owen and Victoria Rodway each netting their second, while Abi Haynes took her tally to 14 but Courtney Summer remained top scorer on 24 from 16 appearances.

Desborough are heading up into the Northamptonshire League Premier Division after clinching the First Division title.
They did it with a perfect record going into their final match, defeating title rivals Long Buckby on their own turf,

Terri Baker netted her fifteenth goal in 13 games, Amy Loake got her second of the season.
