Ascot United Reserves clinched the Thames Valley Counties League Division 3 East title against their closest rivals, Ruislip Rangers.

They ran in seven second-half goals after being just the one up at the break, Courtney Gibbons and Freya Johnson each bagging a brace.

The win was Ascot’s sixteenth in a row as they extended their perfect record to the last two games of the campaign.

Eighty-seven goals have come from those 16 games, while just eight have been conceded.

Freya Johnson took her tally to 23 goals in the title decider from just 13 appearances, going ahead of Clodagh Farrell for now as the team’s top scorer.

The climax to Ascot’s season comes on 3 April when they tackle Division 1 winners Badshot Lea in the League Cup Final.
