Arsenal Women’s Swiss international Malin Gut has suffered a rupture to her anterior cruciate ligament in her knee.

The injury occurred during a training session in the week, reports www.arsenal.com and Malin has since been receiving specialist care.

The operation will take place in the coming weeks, after which she will begin her rehabilitation programme immediately.

The midfielder had made a total of 19 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners this season.
