Arsenal won the FA Girls’ Youth Cup on penalties and Sunderland lifted the Plate at Loughborough University Stadium.

Sunderland and Charlton Athletic were first up in a morning kick-off for the Girls’ Plate Final, where a hat-trick from Emily Cassap was decisive.

Charlton took a second-minute lead, before Cassap converted a free kick into the top corner a similar time after the interval.

Cassap slotted the ball into the bottom corner midway through the second half, later completing her treble from another set-piece.

Arsenal and Manchester United contested the Cup Final and needed to be separated by a shoot-out, after finishing all square at two apiece.

The young Gunners eventually came out on top, 3-2 on penalties.
