Arsenal 5-1 Sunderland
Arsenal moved into fourth place in the league with a clear win over Sunderland, thanks mostly to a brace by Natalia Pablos Sanchon and two own-goal by the unfortunate Steph Bannon.
The Black Cats’ captain turned a ball into the box past keeper Rachel Laws after only 2 minutes and fate targeted her again shortly afterwards, when a cross by Asisat Oshoala went in off her.
A Vivky Losada cut back led to Natalia’s first goal and after Marta Corredera had been denied by the post, Natalia netted her second by half time.
Dominique Janssen struck from distance to make it 5-0 and after Steph Roche rattled the Gunners’ bar late on, Beth Mead grabbed a consolation.
