Archers Shoot Down Leaders

Abergavenny had won all six previous league games this season, while the students had dropped four points. But this victory moved them within five points of top spot with a game in hand. Chloe O’Connor struck six minutes before the break and Jassie Vasconcelos doubled the lead with 20 minutes remaining.

Aberystwyth are up to sixth after defeating next to bottom Rhyl with three unanswered goals. There were a couple of goals for Amy Jenkins and one from Kelly Thomas.

Cyncoed drew for a third time in seven outings when sharing four goals at Llandudno. Alice Griffiths came off the bench to bag a brace from the visitors.

Briton Ferry are still in serach of their first ever victory at this level, having gone down 2- at home to Port Talbot. 

Next Sunday (4th December), it’s the WPWL Cup quarter-finals, featuring an all-Cardiff clash between Met and City.
