Tottenham Hotspur have reached agreement for the signing of two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner Alex Morgan, subject to obtaining a visa.
The 31-year-old striker joins Spurs for the 2020/21 season, bringing the experience of 169 caps and 107 goals for the USA.
Morgan has twice been named US Soccer Athlete of the Year, four times CONCACAF Player of the Year, was included in the FIFPro World 11 on three occasions, made the USWNT All-Time Best XI in 2013 and finished in third place at the 2019 Ballon d’Or awards.
She is the third player from Orlando Pride to join the north London side this summer, following loan deals for Alanna Kennedy and Shelina Zadorsky.
