Swansea say that they have bolstered their ranks with three new additions in Kirsty O’Donnell, Stacey Webber and Hannah Thomas.
Right-back Webber (pictured), who has previous experience of the WPWL with Newcastle Emlyn, returns to South Wales after a successful three-year stint with the University of Alabama, for whom she scored the winning goal in the 2015 Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship Final.
“I’m excited for a new challenge and to play with a group of experienced players,” said Webber to swanseacity.net.
“I hope to gain some more experience playing with and against competitive players and to be able to work within the team to improve my performance.”
O’Donnell re-joins the club after making the switch back from Cardiff City FC Women, whilst Webber arrives following a spell with the University of Alabama, and Thomas joins from Pengelli.
“I’m over the moon to be back and the girls have given me a warm welcome. I hope to win the [Orchard Welsh Premier] league with the Swans and go on to play in the Champions League,” said O’Donnell, who like Webber, has earned five Welsh caps at U-17 to U-19 level.
The hat-trick of signings is completed with the addition of midfielder Thomas, who has previously played for the U-16 Swansea City Girls Development squad and Llangyfelach.
“I’m really looking forward to joining Swansea City Ladies and being a part of the team,” said Thomas. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Welsh Premier Women’s League.
“I hope to improve as an individual and to help the team achieve success.”
