Aimee Palmer has signed a two-year deal with Bristol City Women having left the Robins in 2018 to join Manchester United.

The 19-year-old midfielder made 16 top-flight appearances for City in her first stint at the club and she has represented England at U-17, U-19 and U-21 levels.

“I’m very excited to be back at the club where my professional football journey started,” Palmer told bcfc.co.uk. “I’ve grown a lot as a player, and a person over the last two years – I can’t wait to show that this season.”

Head coach Tanya Oxtoby said of her latest signing: “She’s a young, talented English midfielder, who has the potential to develop into a great all-round footballer. Aimee, like a number of players we have recruited throughout this period, not only will be a great addition from a technical and tactical point of view, but she very much fitted the character of player we were looking for moving into this season.”
