Cardiff Met 3-1(aet) Swansea City
Holders Swansea had beaten Cardiff Met in the league just last week and were ahead again after 20 minutes as Kirsty O’Donnell found Jodie Passmore, who netted from the edge of the box.
Six minutes later, Jassie Vasconcelos was denied an equaliser by the post and it was 17 minutes from time before the leveller came – Lauren Townsend scoring from a free kick.
The additional half-hour was eventually required to separate the sides and in the first period City lost Lowri Ridings to a serious injury.
Lois Regan then gave Cardiff the lead early in the second period and 2 minutes later Vasconcelos got her second goal to seal the win.
Port Talbot Town 0-4 Abergavenny
Abergavenny were runners-up in the cup last year under their previoud name of PILCS and are back in the final, hoping to go one better, following a 4-0 victory at Port Talbot Town.
Lyndsey Davies, Ceri Hudson, Katie Adams and Alana Murphy got a goal each to set up a final clash with Cardiff Met, whom they host next Sunday in the last eight of the FAW Cup.
