Leaders Cardiff City Women kicked off the post-split Championship Conference with victory over Aberystwyth, Rhianne Oakley’s opener added to very early in the second half by Hollie Smith and Eliza Collie.
Second-placed Swansea stayed five points behind Cardiff but moved six clear of Wrexham, edging them 3-2 as Katy Hosford scored twice. Amber Lightfoot cancelled out Stephanie Turner’s opener for the Swans, Hosford’s brace had them 3-1 up until Carra Jones pulled one back in stoppage time.

Just two points separate the top three in the Plate Conference, after Cardiff Met came from behind to defeat leaders TNS with the help of a hat-trick from Esme Kilburn-Thompson and Pontypridd gained only their second point of the season in a draw at Barry. Eva Preece-Jones put Ponty ahead but Taite Trivett came off the bench to equalise.

Rhyl are up to fourth after beating third-placed Connah’s Quay with two goals in the first quarter of the match, Llanfair United overcame Bangor 4-2 aided by a Becky Jones brace to leapfrog them into sixth spot.

Briton Ferry won the top-of-the-table clash with Cascade after being pegged back, Laura-May Walkley scoring twice. Caldicot edged Llanelli with Millie Pearce’s 87th-minute breakthrough. Cwmbran were 3-2 winners at Pontardawe as the hosts wiped out a 2-0 deficit only for Jade Crofts to complete her hat-trick with 11 minutes to go.
