Liverpool FC Women have confirmed that seven players will leave the club when their current deals expire at the end of the season.
Megan Campbell, Charlotte Clarke, Rylee Foster, Ashley Hodson, Carla Humphrey, Leighanne Robe and Rhiannon Roberts will all depart.
Academy graduate Hodson will depart as the club’s record appearance holder in the professional era, playing 135 games since her debut in 2014. She spent the past campaign on loan at Birmingham City.
Robe joined the Reds in 2018 and would go on to play more than 100 games for the club.
Wales international Roberts also joined the club in 2018 and will leave after five seasons just short of a century of appearances.
Republic of Ireland international Campbell has spent the last two seasons with the club, Humphrey joined in the summer of 2021 and made more than 30 appearances, while Clarke joined the goalkeeping pool in January 2021.
On goalkeeper Foster, manager Matt Beard told liverpoofc.com: “After what Rylee has been through after her accident, to get herself back fit is a great testament to her. It has been great having her back in the camp as of late, in and around the players. The club has supported her right the way through this whole process of getting her back fit and healthy, and I’m delighted she has done that.
Obviously, it’s probably not the way she would have wanted to end her time at Liverpool but I’m really pleased she is healthy and we look forward to her hopefully carrying on her football journey.”
