Do they have any funny sayings or things they do a lot? Yes, when we have a team talk before the match, if the girls look asleep, he makes us jump by talking softly then shouting right out of the blue. We all jump and laugh, so it works!

Are there any ‘stars’ we should know about and why? Amy Sims, Delyth Williams, Eleri Willaims, Gerogia Groves and Jess Williams – because they are all in the Wales regional squad
Do you have a team song that you sing or a song that a lot of your team like? Gangnam Style
When do you train/practice and when do you play your games? Train on Wednesdays, play matches on Sunday afternoons
What league/cup do you play in and do you have to travel far for your matches? We play in the South Wales Girls League with teams from the Newport area across to Port Talbot and the Vale of Glamorgan up to Caerphilly. We are the younger age at U-16s and were aiming for just over half way up the table in our first year but we are doing very well in a strong league and it looks like we will finish around fourth out of eleven teams We are through to the quarter-finals of both cup competitions; the FA of Wales U-16 Girls Cup and South Wales FA Cup (formerly the Tesco Cup)
Who is the LOUDEST on the team? They are all loud!
Have you been to watch any senior women’s league, cup or international matches? If so, which and when? Yes, at the Wales versus Ireland game played at Newport County FC, we were all ball girls
Who are the team’s favourite players and why? All of them are great, stand outs are the girls who play for the Wales Regional Squad and the Development Centre.
Why should readers check out news/results for your team? We are flying the flag for girls’ football in our area and are the only team in Torfaen.
Who are your local derby side? Cwmbran Celtic, We knocked them out of the SWFA Cup and beat them in the league too. Our older U-16s and our chairman had defected to them, so it was good to do the double over them this season!
