Tottenham Hotspur thrashed Brighton and Arsenal broke the record for consecutive Barclays Women’s Super League wins.

Spurs took only a couple of minutes to take the lead away to Brighton, Molly Bartrip netting from outside the box after a corner on the way to a 4-0 interval lead. Nikola Karczewska doubled the advantage, Ashleigh Neville netting Eveliina Summanen header on another flag-kick before setting up Drew Spence in added time. Neville and Spence each added their second, before Jess Naz got her couple of her own.
Arsenal had to come from behind to beat West Ham, Dagny Brynjarsdottir having taken advantage of a defensive error from the Gunners. Jordan Nobbs drilled home the equaliser, Stina Blackstenius volleyed them in front and Frida Maanum headed in the third for a record 13th consecutive Barclays WSL win.
Manchester United made it five wins in a row and took a 13th-minute lead at Everton, Nikita Parris with an open goal after Leah Galton’s header left Courtney Brosnan stranded. Galton got the Reds’ second when bursting into the box and finding the far corner, Hayley Ladd made it 3-0 from the edge of the box.
Lauren James fired Chelsea in front midway through the first half from a Guro Reiten cross. However, the visitors were level late in the half, Rachel Daly finding the goal from a Sarah Mayling cross. Just two minutes after the restart James got her second, before setting up Sam Kerr to make it 3-1.
Khadija Shaw opened the scoring for Manchester City but Katie Stengel soon levelled for Liverpool. Hayley Raso hit the top corner to restore the lead with 15 minutes left.
A dramatic late turnaround saw Reading get off the mark, as Leicester City slip to the bottom with a sixth defeat in a row. Natasha Flint fired City in front from outside the box, Rachel Rowe not only levelled from long range but then netted the decider from outside the box in injury time.
