There were no shocks in the FA Women’s National League Cup but Derby County needed extra-time to go through at Chorley.

Jess Gillin had the Division 1 side ahead until Ella Hilliard’s stoppage-time free kick beat everyone, with Anita Gaspar later netting the winner.

Oxford United also went through after extra-time against Bridgwater, Cardiff City LFC had led Actonians but the final score was much closer at 4-3.

Durham Cestria were 2-0 down at half time to Merseyrail, coming back to win 3-2 with Leanna Giles’ 84th-minute decider.

Doncaster Rovers Belles threatened an upset at Fylde after a 30-yard free-kick by Jess Andrew but the hosts turned it around.

Norwich City also went ahead against Crawley, the Wasps though hit four goals to go through.

Ashford Town edged Bournemouth, as substitute Lily Whitelock scored on 85 minutes.

Katie Barker got the only goal as Newcastle moved level on points with Division 1 North leaders Leeds.
