England Women’s U-23s draw 1-1 against Sweden in Falkenburg after Freya Gregory’s opener was cancelled out with just four minutes left.
Shannon O’Brien turned a Katie Robinson cross towards goal only for the Swedish ‘keeper to tip it onto the bar, during a goalless first 45.
Freya Gregory came off the bench at half-time and fired over the bar before finding the net midway through the half, when Sweden had failed to clear.
It was then England ‘keeper Emily Ramsey who was forced to tip a shot onto the bar, before Sweden eventually found an equaliser as Matilda Vinberg slotted home.
The post then came to England’s rescue, as Evenlina Duljan was denied a winner.
Mo Marley’s team will be back in action in November when they take on the Netherlands at Walsall FC.
