Venezuela Win South American U-17 Title

In the last day of games in the final round of the U-17 Sudamericano, Brazil and hosts Venezuela began on six points each and met in front of a capacity crowd atn the Metropolitan Stadium in Lara.

Deyna Castilian scored the only goal of the match on 47 minutes to win the cup, with both sides already qualified for the U-17 World Cup in Jordan.

Paraguay came from behind to beat Colombia 2-1 and secure the confederation’s third place at the finals

An opener by Manuela Vanegas was overturned as Jessica Martinez bagged a five-minute brace before the break.
