WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE
Aberystwyth Town 1-2 Swansea City
Cwmbran Celtic 3-1 Rhyl & Prestatyn
Swansea are not in a position to be able to afford many dropped points in their pursuit of Welsh Premier League leaders Cardiff Met, so will have been relieved to come away from Aberystwyth with a win.
Stephanie Land gave Aber the lead on 29 minutes and City had to wait until the 74th minute before Lauren Cubbon fired in the equaliser.
Jodie Passmore then grabbed the winner with just 2 minutes left on the clock.
The Swans are back in action on Wednesday when they entertain Cyncoed.
Cwmbran made it two wins in a week, adding a 3-1 victory over Rhyl & Prestatyn to Wednesday’s 4-0 success at Cyncoed.
Niamh Tinman (2), Chloe Chivers and Lois Regan got the goals in midweek, Ellie Lake, Fiona Anthony and Lauren Boyd on Sunday but Laura Williams did equalise in the second half for Rhyl.
