Despite the measure of the defeat, it was Aberdeen who scored first through Francesca Ogilvie, before Tyler Dodds turned the game around with the first two of her four-goal haul.
Kerry Beattie claimed a hat-trick, Priscila Chinchilla a brace, with Jenna Clark also on target, as City went one point ahead of title rivals Rangers but from two games more.
