Liverpool 2-2 Sunderland (Att: 565)

Liverpool made it 4 points from their opening 2 games and Sunderland drew again as the pair shared 4 goals on Saturday evening.

But Liverpool let a 2-0 lead slip after scoring twice in 25 minutes, as crosses by Shanice van de Sanden led to goals from Caroline Weir and Laura Coombs.

Sunderland were soon back in the game though, Kylla Sjoman’s free-kick headed home by Brooke Chaplen, before the same player struck again just after the hour mark from a Steph Roche ball across the goal.

Sheffield FC 1-2 Aston Villa (Att: 464)

Aston Villa banked a second win in 3 games, leaving newcomers Sheffield FC stil without a first victory, following a 2-1 away result.

Katie Wilkinson headed Villa in front from a corner halfway through the first period but the home side were level 8 minutes into the second half, Laura Cain’s delivery from wide right going straight in.

But just after the hour mark, Villa profited from a corner again with Wilkinson lashing in her second after the ball was not cleared.
