King’s College Win ISFA U-18 Cup Again

In an exciting Independent Schools FA U-18 Girls’ Cup Final held at Thame United FC, the first half was mainly dominated by Repton and they took the lead after just a few minutes with a scorcher of a strike from Anna Jowle.

Repton then got a free kick just outside of the box, the shot hit the post and with the ball bouncing back into the area it was handled by a King’s College, Taunton player which resulted in a penalty. The spot kick again hit the post and was cleared by the defence.

The remainder of the first half saw King’s come into the game more and they had opportunities of their own to level the match.

It was very soon into the second half that King’ College, Taunton equalised when a left-footed volley from Sarah Hill hit the back of the net.

A string of fine saves from the Repton goalkeeper Abbey Lloyd could not stop Sarah Hill from giving King’s the lead midway through the second half.

As the game closed, King’s continued to push and they scored a third with a perfect lob again from Sarah Hill to secure the Cup for the Somerset team.
