NORTHERN DIVISION 1
Chester-le-Street Town 0-0 Leeds
The Northern title is within Sporting Club Albion’s grasp, as a 2-0 victory at Nottingham Forest leaves them needing one win from their last two games to pip Preston to the play-off position. Hazzana Parnell half-volleyed Albion in front from 18 yards after 14 minutes but they had to wait until 7 minutes from time to seal the points after a goalmouth scramble.
Fifth-placed Leeds finished their fixtures when held to a goalless draw at Chester-le-Street Town in Northern Division 1, as their hosts remained in ninth spot.
