#SBSSWPL: Jags jump four places off the bottom

Partick Thistle jumped from tenth and bottom to sixth in the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League with a 3-2 win over fourth-placed Hibernian.

Siobhan Hunter had Hibs ahead at the break but Amy Bulloch levelled with a penalty. Three goals came in a five-minute spell midway through the second half, Rebecca McGowan and Bulloch’s second making it 3-1, before Colette Cavanagh replied.

Rangers thrashed Aberdeen to remain two-points clear at the top, Kayla McCoy marking her first SWPL start by scoring a hat-trick. Lizzie Arnot bagged a brace, with Kirsten Reilly, Chelsea Cornet and Jane Ross also registering.

Glasgow City won 2-0 at Hearts to stay second, goal-difference ahead of Celtic despite the Hoops hitting Hamilton for six with as many different scorers. Aoife Colvill and Hayley Lauder scored first-half goals for City.

Spartans are still one point better off than Motherwell after the two sides played out a goalless draw.

Dundee United fell behind to a Boroughmuir penalty but goals by Jade McClaren and Chloe Clemison turned the game in their favour, putting them three points ahead of the rest.

Kilmarnock are third on goal-difference following a 4-2 result at St Johnstone, where Kirsty O’Brien’s second goal of the day was from 25 yards.

Stirling University are four points better off than basement side Queen’s Park, whom they beat 2-0 away with efforts from Rebecca Robertson and Iris Ramage.
