Durkar Devils Kick On

The club report that they have just completed a £250,000 new pitch complex with 5 outstanding pitches from 5-aside through to open age. The complex will be opened with a Girls Gala on June 25th with medals presented by Lord Pendry of the Football Foundation, Mary Creagh MP, and special guests from Doncaster Belles.

This is just the start, as the new pitches will be used to create a whole new girls’ club from U-7s to U-16s playing on Saturdays, so we can make sure girls and ladies get access to the best facilities possible, says Matthew Thompson, Club Chairman.

“Whilst we’ll always be a community club at heart, who knows – with pitches like these we may be able to see a future England Ladies captain play on our ground some day”.
