Hertford And Stevenage Announce Partnership

Hertford say though that the partnership is much more than a ground share, with both clubs agreeing to work together on developing girls’ football in the town.

Hertford Town chairman, Peter Sinclair said; “We have been working hard behind the scenes to partner with a women’s team as we are an inclusive community club and the development of the ladies game in Hertford is crucial to what we are about. We are delighted to be bringing FA Women’s Premier League football to Hertford. Everyone at the club is really excited and we can’t wait to welcome our new partners to Hertingfordbury Park”.

Stevenage achieved promotion to the Premier League last season and as a result, teams of the stature of Norwich, Ipswich and MK Dons will be visiting Hertford in the year ahead.

Stevenage Ladies FC chairman Dave Potter said, “We are delighted to agree terms with Hertford Town Football Club to play our FA Women’s Premier League fixtures at Hertingfordbury Park. The ground’s facilities and the hard-working committee make it the ideal place to call home. We will work closely with Hertford Town and other local football clubs in the community to raise participation of females within football and are excited with the proposed plans to bring this to the forefront”.

The season starts on 21st August and Stevenage will play their games on Sundays at 2pm, with the occasional Wednesday evening game.
