Hamilton Academical won the race for the second promotion place from the SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League 2

Hamilton Academical 3-0 Kilmarnock
Hamilton had their fate in their own hands going into the final day of the season and a 3-0 win against Kilmarnock therefore ensured they were promoted behind champions Aberdeen. Josephine Giard scored twice and Georgie McTear the other as Accies secured a place in SWPL 1.
The Accies’ title rivals cancelled each other out in a 2-2 draw, which left Partick Thistle third and Dundee United fourth. The hosts twice took the lead through Robyn Smith and Danni McGinley but Cara McBrearty replied each time directly from a corner, the second occasion in the last minute.
Aberdeen had to twice come from behind for a 4-2 win over Boroughmuir Thistle as the were presented with their league trophy. Mhari Smith and Fiona Gibson each gave Thistle the lead in the first half, with Francesca Ogilvie on target for the Dons in-between. Ogilvie again levelled in the second half, with Eilidh Shore and Bayley Hutchison netting for the Dons in the last dozen minutes.

St Johnstone made sure of fifth place with a 5-2 victory over bottom of the table Stirling University. Rachel Todd and Ellie Cowie had the Saints two up but Stirling fought back to draw level, only for Morgan Steedman, Nicole Carter and Rebecca McGowan to score second-half goals for the hosts.
Glasgow Women finished in seventh spot following a 3-2 defeat of Queen’s Park, who ended in ninth position. There were three goals in the opening seven minutes as Glasgow led 2-1 with efforts by Nyla Murphy and Rosie McQuillan, the latter then getting her second before another reply from the Spiders on 37 minutes proved to be the end of the scoring.
