Mexico Retain Homeless World Cup

The 2016 Homeless World Cup, held in Glasgow, came to a conclusion on the evening of Saturday 16th July, as Mexico again lifted the trophy, running out 5-0 winners over Kyrgyzstan.

The hosts battled with Chile in the third place play-off but after a 6-6 tie, they lost 2-1 in the shoot-out.

England hit the Netherlands for six in claiming fifth spot, while India pipped the USA 5-4 to take seventh position.

In the Plate final, Argentina edged Greece by the odd goal in five. Wales thrashed Norway 9-2 for third and France finished fifth with an 8-1 scoreline over Ivory Coast.
