The experienced assistant referee is regularly involved in the SPFL Premiership and in Europe. She has spent the past few weeks officiating at the UEFA Women’s U-19 Championships, including the semi-final match between eventual winners, France, and Switzerland.
FIFA has selected 16 referees and 28 assistant referees for the Finals in Jordan from 30th September to 21st October. Kylie is one of eight assistants selected from UEFA.
Kylie made history in May 2014, becoming the first specialist female assistant referee to take to the field in an SPFL Premiership match.
At that time she had already built up a wealth of experience, including appointments in the SPFL Championship, UEFA Women’s Champions League and 2013 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Scottish FA Head of Referee Operations, John Fleming, said: “This is a fantastic appointment for Kylie and is a tremendous reward for her hard work and performances throughought her career.
“She has been officiating regularly, with great consistency, in the SPFL Premiership for some time now, and we all wish her well for the Finals when the time comes.”
