Leicester City edged Crystal Palace 1-0 with a late Natasha Flint strike to reach the FA Women’s Continental League Cup semi-finals.
Palace’s Aoife Hurley volleyed over the bar via Bianca Baptiste’s set-piece in Wednesday’s tie at Bromley FC, while Emma Gibbon tipped Flint’s long range volley wide.
Gibbon also did well to deny Lachante Paul in the second half, while Flint, Charlie Devlin and Hannah Cain all went close for the Championship leaders.
The decisive moment arrived moments short of extra time, as Remi Allen’s free kick set up Flint to find the top corner with her 14th goal in all competitions this season.
