Kiwi keeper joins Reading Women

Reading Women have signed experienced New Zealand international goalkeeper Erin Nayler from French side Bordeaux.

The 28-year-old, who has also had spells at Sky Blue FC and Lyon, has over 60 caps for the Football Ferns.

Nayler was with Bordeaux for three years and helped them to a berst-ever third place in Division 1 Féminine in 2019-20.

Manager Kelly Chambers told readingfc.co.uk: “It is great to bring Erin to the club. She is an experienced goalkeeper who will add yet more strength to our goalkeeper group.

“She has played in major international tournaments and has experience of playing top club level, so to add those experiences and qualities to our group will bring great benefit.”
