Derby County needed extra-time to see off Sheffield United off the North East League. The Blades stunned the Rams with a 1st-minute goal and it was 52 minutes before they equalised through Molly Johnson’s long-range strike. Sheffield soon restored their advantage. only for Ellie May to reply on 61 minutes. Camilla Newton came off the bench for County 6 minutes into the added half-hour and promptly hit the decider.

Keynsham came away from higher division C&K Basildon 3-1 winners. Keka Vega, Geovana and Justine Lorton-Radburn got the goals for the Somerset side.

Cardiff City were defeated for the first time this season in a 2-0 reverse at Lewes. Rebecca Carter broke clear to slot the ball home and Katie McIntyre then played in Leeta Rutherford for the second goal on 37 minutes.

Leicester City Women’s Kim Farrow missed a penalty at Middlesbrough before making amends with a deflected shot to go in 1-0 up at the interval. Boro then forced extra-time with a dramatic late leveller but eventually fell to a goal from a deep corner kick 2 minutes short of penalties.

Brighouse won a seven-goal thriller away at Long Eaton, where Jodie Redgrave got all their goals. But her first couple were wiped out by the halfway mark, afterwhich the Derbyshire side went in front. Redgrave replied on 65 minutes and won it 4 minutes into added time.

Gillingham had the best of the first-half chances at Spurs but fell behind on 5 minutes to a Maya Vio effort. Two minutes later and Bianca Baptiste gave the hosts some breathing space with a second goal, before scoring another late on at the second attempt.

Charlton enjoyed their afternoon at The Valley by putting five past Portsmouth. A glancing Kim Dixson header opened the scoring, while a powerful Kit Graham headed goal doubled the lead. Katie Bottom nodded in the third after the break, with Graham going on to complete her hat-trick, as the Addicks proved troublesome for Pompey with their corners and in the air.

Hull held Blackburn for virtually the whole first half until Jess Holbrook broke the deadlock in add time. Ella Toone made it 2-0 soon after the restart, with Natasha Fenton then lobing home from distance, Toone netting a free-kick and Faye McCoy’s header finishing off the scoring at 5-0.

Nottingham Forest netted three times in the first period against Wolves, with Andi Bell scoring one, making another for Charlotte Broad before Katie Lowder got on the scoresheet. Lyndsey Harkin later won a penalty which Bell converted to see Forest safely through.

West Brom matched that scoreline with Radcliffe Olympic, including one from Hazzanna Parnell in each half. Abi Cottam had made it 2-0 7 minutes short of half-time and Phoebe Warner was the other scorer.

Coventry United were two up in 17 minutes at home to MK Dons, Maz Gauntlett and Alison Hall finding the net. Amber Hughes increased the lead on 65 minutes, before Gauntlett got her second.

Cambridge United got a couple of goals in either half to defeat Southern League Southampton Women’s FC. Becky Taylor and Mollie Kmita gave them a two-goal cushion, which Nicole Perschky added to straight after the restart, with Danielle Puddefoot also on target.

AFC Wimbledon made the trip down to Plymouth worthwhile by coming away 3-0 victors.

WSL 2 sides now go into the hat for tomorrow’s draw, which is scheduled for 10.45am.
