Durham say that Dixon has previously represented Blackburn Rovers and also spent a spell in America with the Hartford Hawks before moving to the North East.
She was a key part of the side that entered the FA WSL in 2014, as she made 20 appearances and netted 7 times in the Wildcats’ debut season.
An ACL injury saw her miss the previous two seasons and now, after some time away from the club, she returns to New Ferens Park keen to make up for lost time.
Speaking to WildcatsTV, Dixon said: “It feels good to be back. I’ve been out for a while but have been back in training for the last six weeks.
“Training is going well, the girls are looking good and it’s great to be back.
“It’s been about 18 months since I got injured so I can’t wait to get back playing and fight for my place in the team.”
Durham Manager Lee Sanders added: “It’s good to have Caz back. As everyone knows, she played for us in the first season in the FA WSL and is a very strong and powerful player.
“She’s had some time away from the club after a lengthy lay-off with injury and she’s returned now.
“It’ll be a case of easing Caz back in – she’s been back with us for the last five or six weeks where she’s had a bit of game time in the Reserve team at the club and will likely do so for the next few weeks to gain the minutes that she needs before making the step back into first team football.”
