Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Brighton & Hove Albion
Tottenham dumped WSL newcomers Brighton out of the cup, repeating their FAWPL Cup 1-0 win of last season over the Seagulls.
After a first 45 fairly free of clear-cut chances, Spurs began the second half by hitting the woodwork twice in one move, as Nikita Whinnett rattled the upright and Bianca Baptiste followed up with a diving header.
But Tottenham (pictured top) did get their goal on 5 minutes, Wendy Martin’s blocked shot rebounded kindly for Baptiste to beat Emma Byrne.
Alessia Russo could have levelled with 5 minutes left but chipped wide when finding Toni-Anne Wayne off her line after the keeper came out to clear danger.
There was still more late nerves for Spurs as with 2 minutes to go, Russo was allowed two goes at goal and Wayne turned the second effort away from the bottom corner.
Durham 2-2(aet) Everton (Everton won 4-3 on pens)
Everton retrieved a two-goal deficit at Durham before winning in the shoot-out.
Durham forced a couple of goal-line clearances before striking twice in the last 5 minutes of the first period. Beth Hepple hit home from 20 yards and then crossed for Becky Salicki to make it 2-0.
The Toffees replied twice via corners. the first 5 minutes after the restart when the flag-kick was not fully cleared and Michelle Hinnigan stabbed home from close range.
Into the last 13 minutes, Simone Magill headed home from the equaliser to force extra-time.
With no further goals forthcoming, it was down to penalties and although the Wildcats were 3-2 up after three each, they missed their remaining two, while Magill scored for the visitors.

Sheffield FC 0-1 Doncaster Rovers Belles
A controversial first-half penalty was the difference between the Yorkshire pair, as Doncaster reached the last sixteen.
Courtney Sweetman-Kirk had had a goal disallowed before the hosts were in disbelief as the Belles were awarded a spot-kick for handball, which the forward stepped up to convert.
After the interval, Nicky Davies had to make two good stops to deny Hannah Dale and Sophie Jones.
There remained just the onle goal in it, as one of several crucial tackles by Carla Ward stopped Sophie Barker doubling the lead late on.
Coventry United 0-1 Aston Villa
Coventry’s hopes of an upset were undone by a former player only 15 minutes into the tie.
Helen Dermody had already missed the chance of a headed goal by the time Katy Moran volleyed Villa in front.
Maz Gauntlett’s header off a Laura Cooper corner nearly brought the hosts level and with the underdogs still in it in the dying minutes, saw appeals for handball in the box waved away.

Millwall Lionesses 3-1 Nottingham Forest
Bonnie Horwood hit the post for the Lionesses early on, while Ellie Mason had a shot blocked on the line and Jordan Butler fired the rebound over.
Millwall’s Sarah Quantrill made a fine save from a Nottingham corner and seconds later Ashlee Hincks scored from long-range for the hosts.
The equaliser arrived on 27 minutes when Katie Lowder headed home from Lyndsey Harkin corner.
It wasn’t until the final 8 minutes that the WSL side took control with two goals. Ashley Cheatley scored on her debut despite the efforts of keeper Aja Aguirre and then squared the ball for Hincks to smash in.

West Bromwich Albion 2-1 Leicester City Women
West Brom are the second Premier League side into Monday’s 5th Round draw, after a narrow win over Leicester City.
Leicester keeper Vanessa Kinnerley was called upon to keep out Hazanna Parnell and Trish Greaves in the first few minutes but was beaten by Leigh Dugmore’s long-diatnce lob.
Abi Cottam extended the advantage with 25 minutes played, her shot from outside the box going in off the upright.
Ten minutes into the second half, Hayley James halved the deficit from 40-yards and City might have taken the game to the extra half-hour but Parnell was on hand to clear the ball off the line for Albion following a corner.
