Competent individuals are currently being invited to apply for a vacancy which has arisen in the Governance Department at the Essex County FA’s office in Chelmsford by Friday 24th February.
The position of Football Administrator has become available, a role which involves performing duties and responsibilities pertaining to the traditional ‘off the field’ areas of the grassroots game. These include disciplinary cases, membership, refereeing, safeguarding children, competitions and finance. The County FA require an individual to provide a high quality of administrative assistance to the Governance Manager and senior staff.
Some of the tasks involved comprise taking responsibility for drafting correspondence, data inputting, organising mailings and photocopying, as well as assisting clubs and leagues in their use of The FA’s Whole Game System. There will also be the requirement for dealing with, and answering, enquiries from members of the public and taking minutes of meetings as required, as well as undertaking any other duties which may be reasonably required.
The position has become available following news that current Governance Team member, Rory Gooding, will be departing to take up an exciting coaching position in the USA with the best wishes of his friends and colleagues in Essex.
Normal working hours at Springfield Lyons Approach are from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Mondays to Fridays, with 45 minutes each day for lunch.
