Scotland made it through to the UEFA Women’s U-17 European Championship Elite Round with a game to spare after back-to-back wins in their qualifying group.
After the 4-1 victory against Northern Ireland, Scotland were back at Oriam where they put as many goals past Montenegro. Rosie McQuillan and Bayley Hutchison both scored in either half.
With a better goal-difference, Scotland only need a draw against Italy at Ainslie Park on Sunday lunchtime to finish top of Group 10.
Northern Ireland earlier went down to a 4-0 defeat against a dominant Italy, three second-half goals adding to an early penalty that sees the Irish unlikely to be able to progress in the competition.
