What is your team name? Kinja Rockets.
Do you play 5, 6, 7 or 11 aside? 11-aside.
Does the team-have a nickname, if so, what is it?
Our nickname is Rockets, but everyone calls us Kinja Ninjas as a joke.
What colours do you play in?
Well we have two kits, an away one which is white & green, and at home we play in pink and black.
What is your teacher’s / coach’s name?
Our coach’s name is Uliano but we all call him Yul.
Do they have funny sayings or things they say a lot?
He’s always saying that we have to smile! He also says to take two touches a lot.
What are the names of the girls on the team?
Anna, Fiona, Indie, Alex, Regan, Audrey, Deja, Mia, Bella, Molly, Bianca, Katie, Pebbles, Aimee, Nicole and me (Joya)
Are there any ‘stars’ should we know about and why?
We have a lot of great players, like Regan our captain and Nicole who scores a lot of goals. But I think we are all really good and work as a team instead of having one particular “star”.
Do you have a team song that you sing or that a lot of your team like?
We don’t have a team song but we are always messing around making up funny songs about the team and the coaches.
When do you train / practice and when do you play your games?
We train twice a week on Monday and Wednesday from 6pm-8pm, and we play games on Saturdays and Sundays.
What league / cup do you play in and do you have to travel far for your games?
We play in the Hertfordshire Girls League, in the Hertfordshire Girls League Cup and Herts County Cup. We travel pretty far, but some days it is not too bad.
Who is the LOUDEST on the team?
All of us! (except Audrey and Bianca)
Have you been to watch any senior women’s league, cup or international matches? If so, which and when?
I have been to a couple, the last one I went to I went with the team to an Arsenal game and Yul organized for us to be ball girls, mascots and flag holders. It was so much fun!
Who are the team’s favourite players and why?
Alex Scott of Arsenal, because we love the team she plays for and she’s an amazing defender.
