Sheffield United Women have re-signed Ellie Fletcher ahead of the club’s first home FAWC game of the season.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at the Blades from Liverpool but a knee injury curtailed that spell at Olympic Legacy Park.
Now back fit, Fletcher has signed another loan deal at the club and is eligible to face Leicester City on Sunday.
The England youth team defender will add extra quality and depth to Carla Ward’s defence and the manager is thrilled to have Fletcher back in her squad.
“It’s great to have Fletch back,” said Ward. “She oozes professionalism and adds more competition to the squad.”
