Just two divisions were active in the women’s regional leagues and it’s as you were at the top, with Colney Heath and Queens Park Rangers Girls still leaders.

EASTERN – Colney Heath hold narrow lead

PREMIER – Colney Heath were restricted to a 2-0 victory and Haringey Borough where Adrienne Milton and Samaira Khan scored but the Hertfordshire side’s big goal-difference meant they stay in pole position.

Luton Town’s 3-0 win over Royston Town sees them in second spot, Rebecca Kane, Rachel Carter and Dionne Manning all registered to make it back-to-back wins for the Hatters.

Peterborough Northern Star got off the mark as Leah Cudone, Emma Pollard and Katie Steward got one apiece in their 3-0 success at St Ives Town.

Bedford also put their first points on the board by beating AFC Dunstable 5-1, set on their way by a quickfire brace from Mathilda Fidler.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Sampson treble keeps QPR top

PREMIER – Queens Park Rangers Girls Development are the only side with two wins from two so far following a nine-goal thriller at Saltdean United. Chloe Sampson notched a hat-trick, Carla Perez and Kayleigh Richardson-Taylor added one each, while Billie Phillpot got two for the hosts, Georgia Ungoed and Henna Butcher their other scorers.

Dartford are second on four points after a 4-3 result at Denham United, where Sarah White got a couple while Emily Read and Shauni Griffiths also on target for the Kent side. They built a 3-0 lead before the home side made a game of it with a hat-trick by Kayleigh Currivan.

Dulwich Hamlet are goal-difference behind Dartford having drawn 1-1 at Eastbourne Town, for whom substitute Maya Beesley equalised in the second half.

Ashford Town (Middlesex) began with a 3-2 win over Whyteleafe, their goals shared between Lavana Neufville, Hannah Pearson and Charlotte Baker.

Aylesford could not quite hold on at home to Fulham, Charley Sanford’s opener cancelled out by Alice Carr with 7 minutes left as the Cottagers drew again.

With the Women’s FA Cup Preliminary Qualifying Round next Sunday, the new Regional League season really gets going on 8 September.
