Stoke City have signed Hollie Gibson, Ali Hall and Tanisha Smith who totalled more than 75 appearances between them for Aston Villa last season.
Smith has scored three goals during pre-season for Stoke and the attacker told the club’s website the influence Head Coach Chloe Jones had on her move.
“I knew Chloe from my time with Aston Villa and knowing the type of person she is, it made me believe that she will develop and progress this team moving forward and that’s something I wanted to be a part of.”
Jones said of the signing of 23-year-old forward Hall: “I’m incredibly excited about the signing of Ali, she is a true leader and professional both on and off the pitch. She has made such a positive impact already since she joined and is an excellent influence on the team… I’m excited about the future with her involved.”
Midfielder Hollie Gibson, who returns to the Potters having previously had a two-year stint in the first team, commented: “The club has had a drastic change since I was last here. It seems to be going in the right direction, there is a great atmosphere and Chloe is pushing the club forward…it’s a really exciting time.”
