The last round of Scottish Premier top flight games before the mid-season break brought big wins for Glasgow City and Hibernian, the latter maintaining second place on goal-difference from Celtic.

SWPL 1 – Spartans pair in celebratory mood
Ronaigh Douglas (20) marked 100 club appearances for Spartans with a double in the 4-0 defeat of Stirling University, who lost their keeper after a collision. Sarah Clelland and SWPL Player of the Month for April, Michaela McAlonie, got the other goals that saw their side move up to fifth.
Kirsty Howat, Clare Shine and Hayley Sinclair each bagged a brace for Glasgow City in a 10-1 thrashing of Forfar. Also finding the net for the hosts were Jenna Clark, Murron Cunningham, Nicola Docherty and Leanne Ross, the latter on the rebound from a penalty saved by Kayleigh Brough, while Forfar replied 28 seconds after the interval..
There were six different goalscorers for Hibernian away to Rangers, Kirsty Morrison, Siobhan Hunter, Cailin Michie, Shannon Leishman, Amy Gallacher and Jamie-Lee Napier all chipping in. The result left Rangers nine points short of Celtic in third but with one game in hand.
Celtic won 2-1 at Motherwell despite losing the lead and missing a penalty. Kirsty McLaughlin’s goal from a tight angle was cancelled out by Katie Rice and Chloe Craig’s 19th-minute spot-kick was saved by Morgan Hunter. However, just before the hour mark, McLaughlin’s through ball set Kathleen McGovern up to net the winner.
SWPL 2 – Killie pull off win at Glasgow Girls
Hamilton made sure they held the SWPL 2 leadership by running out 17-0 winners at Hutchison Vale. Top scorers were Dionne Brown with four and MT Gardiner with a treble. on a day when all the division’s points went to away sides.
Hearts took the points 2-0 at St Johnstone where Lauren Evans got both goals, the opener after a clever assist from Aisha Maughan.
Kilmarnock came through 3-2 at third-placed Glasgow Girls, who twice equalised with an own-goal and then a Lucy McEwan effort 17 minutes from time. Killie netted a the decider 4 minutes after to go sixth in the table.
Goals from Emma Lawton and Sara Paterson secured the win which took Partick Thistle to within 4 points of fourth-placed hosts Dundee United with two games in hand.
