Yeovil Town defender Corinne Yorston has already set her sights on promotion from FA WSL 2 next season after missing out this term.
Yeovil Town report that with fourth-place, the Glovers have had a fantastic 2015 campaign but they know the highest they can finish is third, with Everton currently ahead on goal difference.
For a while it looked like Yeovil might challenge for a top-two berth, and with it promotion to the top tier. But after picking up just one point from their last three WSL 2 games, they go into Sunday’s clash at home to Durham with little more than pride to play for.
However, Yorston insists she will leave no stone unturned to make amends in 2016. “In terms of next season, for me as an individual I will be looking at promotion,” she said.

“It has been a good year and our next aim should be looking to get promoted.
“I don’t really know what everyone else thinks about next season but I think we have the quality of players to get into the top two.
“We have had a frustrating few weeks, we have not the results we wanted to get. We have been sitting third for a while so to be technically sitting fourth is slightly frustrating.
“Our aim is to finish in the top three, however unfortunately it is out of our hands as Everton need to lose their game.
“We will not be thinking about that on Sunday, we need to finish the season strong and get the most points we can get, give our fans something nice to finish the season off with.”
While Yeovil will be celebrating an improvement on last season’s fifth-place finish no matter what the result, Durham cannot exceed the seventh they achieved in 2014. However, they have already surpassed the 18 points they accumulated last term and Durham captain Sarah Wilson is looking to finish on a high at Sherborne Town.

“We’re not going to finish as high in the league as we did last season but we’ve got more points and there has been a real improvement,” said Wilson.
“There were a couple of games early in the season where we should have taken three points and if we had we could easily be a couple of places higher.
“We’ve developed so much and we’ve been a little bit unlucky with a couple of injuries but the future is looking really bright for the club.
“We’ve got a young side but we’re getting more experience and confidence every week. Hopefully we can keep most of the squad together and we’ve got players who can step up even more.
“Now we want to finish the season strongly against Yeovil. We know how they play and what they offer and we were a little unlucky to lose narrowly to them not too long ago.”
