Harrogate were able to celebrate their league title in style last Sunday (12th March), not only with a gala at the CNG Stadium but also a 7-0 thrashing of previous champions Poppleton.
Ex-Leeds player Carey Huegett hit a hat-trick, Rebecca Davies bagged a brace, while Amy Hesselden and Hannah Stephenson got one each.
Their success had been settled the week before when they went two goal better against Cleveland. Rachel White featured with a four-goal haul – to double her tally for the season – in a 9-0 win. That result took them out of reach of Stokesley, who had been their one remaining pursuer.
Huegett has been huge for Harrogate in terms of her goal record, netting an amazing 66 times in 16 games, while Gracie Adams’ total of 32 averaged out at an impressive two per game.
Harrogate will look to complete a perfect league campaign when they travel to Stokesley for the last game on 26th March.
